The Residences

We provided advice on all apects of Rights of Light for The Residences development in Birmingham.

The proposed scheme is a major new £85 million mixed use development providing retail, gym & ancillary at ground floor and 375 apartments.

The residential element will be available to rent only. The proposed scheme will be built on an overflow car park at the corner of Pershore Road and Edgbaston Road in a series of connected blocks ranging from five to 16 storeys. The BTR residential element is planned to be split over two blocks, the highest being 18 storeys high.

The scheme will provide ground floor amenity space and a landscaped podium deck. The proposals also include undercroft car parking, and a rooftop residents amenity area. The site is next to Edgbaston Stadium. A new 56,500 sq ft entrance plaza will also be constructed for the stadium. This will enhance the main arrival space for visitors as well as help improve accessibility and circulation around the famous cricket stadium.

Work on the scheme is scheduled to be completed in the second half of 2023.
