Maggie’s Cancer Care Centre

We advised on all aspect of the Party Wall etc Act on the development of Maggie’s Cancer Care Centre in London.

The site is adjacent to the large courtyard of St Bartholomew’s Hospital, the oldest hospital in London founded in Smithfield in the 12th Century.

The building site is in the centre of London, adjacent to the large courtyard of St. Bartholomew’s Hospital. Founded in Smithfield in the 12th century, the hospital is the oldest in London and was started at the same time as the St. Bartholomew the Great Church. Layers of history characterize this unique site, connecting deeply to the Medieval culture of London.

The new Maggie’s Cancer Care Centre building replaces a 1960s brick structure building, and is adjacent to the 17th century building holding the Great Hall and the famous Hogarth staircase.
