Marlborough Gardens
We provided advice on all aspects of Fire Reinstatement services for Marlborough Gardens.
Our Building Consultancy team were called in after a fire ripped through the roof of a pair of maisonettes in North london. The subsequent attendance by six fire engines and around 40 fire fighters caused water damage to both the first and ground floor flats.
To reduce time the works were separated into three stages :
- Scaffold, make safe and weathertight
- Strip out works to allow drying and further assessment
- Design & Reinstatement works
Services
We were appointed to act for the landlord and loss adjustor.
We carried out an initial assessment to ascertain the extent of damage and then arranged for emergency scaffold to make the property safe and weathertight
The primary issue was to dry out the property and after a short tender process the successful contractor stripped out the property back to the brick shell. Additional health and safety considerations were necessary due to Covid 19 and the carcinogenic materials within the property.
Our in house CAD team provided a point cloud scan and accurate technical drawings for the structural engineering and specification design.
The works were prioritised to accommodate the leaseholder’s and landlords’ requirements. Works are due for completion in November 2020.
