Cost & Project Management for a new 120 bed student accomodation development in Bath, located on Lower Bristol Road.

This mixed-use project, situated alongside the picturesque River Avon, will feature a purpose-built, 120-bed student accommodation scheme with commercial and warehouse space on the ground floor.

This five-storey building has received planning permission, fully supported by the University of Bath, which recognizes the need for PBSA to alleviate housing pressure on local residents.

The accommodation will include a variety of cluster bedrooms and studios, along with ample quality communal spaces. Highlights include a common room on the 1st floor and an external roof terrace on the 4th floor, both offering stunning views of the River Avon.

Situated within the Bath Conservation Area and a World Heritage Site, the project is adjacent to Rackfield Place, a row of Grade II Listed Terraces. In keeping with the historic surroundings, the building’s external façade will feature a stone rubble wall.

Anstey Horne is providing Cost Consultancy, Project Management, and Employers Agent services for Alumno.

Despite the challenge of the original contractor going into administration, our team successfully appointed a new contractor from the Southwest. As project and cost managers, we expertly negotiated financial and commercial matters with both the contractor and the supply chain, ensuring seamless collaboration with the wider design team to maintain continuity of service.

We are committed to delivering a positive outcome, working closely with Alumno. The project is on track for completion in September 2025, ensuring high-quality accommodation and facilities for students in Bath.
